Boy, I just loathe making cold calls, don’t you? And why is that? Well, for me, it’s because I never know who is going to pick up the phone on the other end, or answer the door, or worse, how that person is going to react to me and my questions once they hear what I have to say. I don’t know about you, but I don’t know anyone who enjoys being treated rudely, which sometimes happens, regardless of who I am calling or what script I am using ()no, I don’t read from a script, but my words are practiced and are taken from one or more scripts I wrote), or how I deliver that script.
